Kites are not only objects of pure design, in the past kites have also served as little flying advertisements, bringing local businesses to the attention of kite-watchers. This cheeky kite references the Zaibatsu family corporations that grew during the Meiji restoration and bankrolled Japan's war campaigns up to their dissolution after the WW2.
