New Religion., Ngununggula, Art Gallery of New South Wales
Claire Healy & Sean Cordeiro Claire Healy & Sean Cordeiro are included in New Religion.

Claire Healy & Sean Cordeiro are among the eight contemporary artists and collectives commissioned for New Religion, an exhibition that brings newly commissioned works into dialogue with objects and artworks drawn from significant state and national collections.

New Religion explores the enduring influence of religious imagery, belief systems, and symbolic forms, placing historic works within a contemporary context to consider why they continue to captivate us. Across the exhibition, artists reflect on faith, power, morality, and meaning, revealing how ideas and rituals are continually reinterpreted across time, cultures, and lived experience.

Through this exchange between past and present, New Religion invites audiences to consider the ways images, objects, and systems of belief continue to shape our understanding of the world today.
