Savannah Jarvis has been awarded the 2026 15 Artists Prize for her work Two patients try to explain nociplastic pain to one another!, recognising her distinctive contemporary practice and its exploration of the relationship between painting, materiality and the body.
Presented annually by the City of Moreton Bay at Redcliffe Art Gallery, 15 Artists is an acquisitive contemporary art prize that brings together leading artists from across Australia.
Savannah’s winning work, Two patients try to explain nociplastic pain to one another!, 2026, is a diptych that combines oil on canvas, acrylic pearl, freshwater pearl and polymer clay. Measuring 172 x 96 x 10 cm per panel, the work demonstrates Savannah’s tactile and materially rich approach to painting.
The prize marks a significant recognition for Savannah and her practice, celebrating a work that brings together the physicality of the painted surface with an evocative engagement with the body.
