Drawing sits at the foundation of artmaking — the first mark of an idea, a site of reflection, and an enduring trace of the artist’s hand. Folio: A group exhibition of contemporary drawing & print brings together a cross-section of Australian artists whose works on paper reveal the continued relevance and range of the medium today.
Alongside guest artists Mason Kimber and Kate Vassallo, the exhibition features both artists long associated with drawing — such as Joshua Charadia and Joan Ross — and others not typically known for working on paper. Together, they expand what drawing can be: a structural framework, a performative act, or an experiment in texture and tone.
Interested? Our artists are busy making work for the show, but we're happy to send you a preview once the works are ready. Just let us know.
