Sally Scales' new exhibition brings together a powerful body of work shaped by Country, memory, and the enduring presence of Tjukurpa.
'This show is really special to me – it feels like I'm stepping into a whole new chapter as an artist. Each piece is an opportunity to push further experimenting with colour, movement, and texture while staying connected to where I come from. I'm looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me.'
Drawing deeply from her Pitjantjatjara heritage, Scales paints with instinctive rhythm and remarkable sensitivity, translating ancestral knowledge into luminous fields of colour, movement, and form. Each work carries a profound sense of place, holding story, spirit, and connection with quiet strength.
