Vipoo Srivilasa: If We're Being Honest is currently on view at Dark Mofo, Plimsoll Gallery.
If We're Being Honest invites audiences into a tactile realm of clay, sound, and ritual, where making, offering, and confessing reveal what the subconscious longs to surface. Presented across a series of participatory gatherings at the gallery, the work transforms ceramic practice into a collective act of reflection, connection, and release.
Created by Thai-Australian artist Vipoo Srivilasa, the project draws on the artist’s distinctive visual language of vibrant ceramics, storytelling, and community engagement. Through hands-on making and shared experiences, participants are encouraged to explore vulnerability, generosity, and the hidden narratives that shape individual and collective identities.
Balancing playfulness with introspection, If We're Being Honest proposes honesty as a creative and restorative act. Through clay, conversation, and communal participation, Vipoo invites audiences to consider what emerges when we allow our inner worlds to be seen, heard, and shared.
