Social Media & Content Strategist
N.Smith Gallery is seeking a Social Media & Content Strategist to manage and grow our digital presence.
 
The role
This position will oversee our social platforms, shaping strategy, creating engaging content (video and still), and analysing performance data to inform future growth. Working closely with the Director, artists, and wider team, the role is central to how the gallery shares its program with the world.
 
Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with the gallery’s brand, exhibitions, and programming.
  • Produce high-quality content (photography, videography, editing, copywriting).
  • Manage posting schedule and community engagement.
  • Track, analyse, and report on performance metrics.
  • Provide strategic advice on digital campaigns and emerging opportunities.

 

Ideal background
  • Experience managing creative social media accounts (arts/culture a plus).
  • Strong photography, videography, editing, and copywriting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with artists and creatives.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Strong knowledge of platform trends and algorithms.

 

Engagement
