Marketing / Social Media Intern
N.Smith Gallery is seeking a creative, motivated and detail-oriented Marketing / Social Media Intern to assist in our digital communications and public programming. This internship is ideal for a university-level student or emerging arts worker seeking practical experience in a commercial gallery environment. While the focus is on social media and publication support, the role can be shaped to suit the strengths and interests of the successful applicant.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation and scheduling of content for the gallery’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

Support the design and production gallery publications using Adobe InDesign

Assist in the development and delivery of gallery events and public programs

Provide general support across day-to-day communications and marketing tasks
Requirements:

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop

Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

A keen eye for visual design and attention to detail

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Must have own laptop and be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

Familiarity with social media platforms and trends (especially Instagram)
Details:

Minimum commitment of one day per week between Tuesday–Friday, for a two-month period, and availability to assist at monthly gallery openings

A travel stipend will be provided
